Biden Admin Releases 377,000 Illegals With NO RECORDS

The crisis at the United States border has persisted and even worsened since President Biden took office. Some predict the situation will deteriorate further if the Title 42 policy is lifted.

Despite this, Alejandro Mayorkas has attempted to reassure the public that all migrants encountered by Immigration and Customs Enforcement have been properly documented and will eventually be processed in accordance with the relevant procedures.

Border Situation Deteriorates Despite Officials’ Assurances

According to numerous reports, the situation at the US border has continued to get worse since Biden took office two years ago. It is also feared that this crisis will get worse if Title 42 policy will be removed.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas assured the public that all migrants who encountered Immigration and Customs Enforcement have been properly documented.

He added these illegal immigrants will eventually go through the appropriate channels, including the immigration court system and the asylum process.

However, a recent analysis by the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) at Syracuse University has found the claims made by Mayorkas may not be accurate.

According to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, the TRAC at Syracuse University recently learned ICE has “no records” of the 377,980 individuals monitored through the agency’s “Alternatives to Detention” (ATD) program.

This electronic tracking system is used to monitor illegal immigrants released into the country. The lack of records raises concerns about the effectiveness of the ATD program in tracking and managing individuals in its custody.

Surge in Illegal Border Crossings Raises Concerns about Deportation Efforts

The recent influx of illegal immigrants at the southern border has reportedly reached a level where immigration laws are being enforced based on trust, rather than strict compliance with the law.

Many migrants are being given blankets and bus tickets to other parts of the country, with the assumption they will seek out local ICE offices to undergo processing and potentially be deported.

A recent report by DHS revealed that over 150,000 illegal migrants and border crossers were released into the United States without a Notice to Appear (NTA) in immigration court during the summer of 2021.

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody obtained footage as part of a lawsuit against the Catch and Release program, showing the agency releasing large numbers of undocumented individuals into the country.

The recent release of a large number of illegal immigrants into the United States without NTA in immigration court has increased worries about the potential for individuals with criminal histories to evade deportation.

It is estimated over five million undocumented individuals entered the country since President Biden took office; it is likely that a significant portion of them will not go through the immigration court process or be returned to their countries of origin.
