Biden Keeps Promoting Child Trafficking at Southern Border

In yet another episode of keeping American borders open and letting illegal immigrants come to the United States, the Biden administration revoked a Trump-era policy.

According to the latest changes, unaccompanied kids will now be able to enter America, which can increase smuggling to a great extent.

Biden Administration Moves to Bring Illegal Immigrants Home

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) terminated Title 42 for unaccompanied children, which was invoked by the Trump administration after the onslaught of the pandemic.

Unaccompanied children, even if they are with single parents, would not be qualified for this exemption.

As the measure was introduced amid the worsening pandemic crisis, a Texas court was looking forward to revising the policy.

A court ruling last week would have bound the administration to kick out even the unaccompanied minors, as Judge Mark Pittman ruled the administration should give up its special exemption for minors.

Democrats were not impressed by the ruling. Congressman Jesús García noted the decision to expel children could not be justified, especially at a time when the COVID positivity rate decreases.

The CDC also voiced its concerns along the same lines, noting the department is aware of the court’s concerns, but added the expulsion of unaccompanied children would not guarantee public health protection.

Rochelle Walensky, the CDC Directory, justified her decision in a 21-page report. According to the report, rigorous testing, social distancing, and low COVID positivity rates are just some of the things motivating the government in making this decision.

Walensky stated minors who enter the United States illegally are being caught by Homeland Security, from where they are transferred to the Health and Human Services Department.

After completing their quarantine and negative testing, they are eventually released.

Democrats Want Illegal Adults to Come to the Country

Top Democrat senators, including Chuck Schumer, Bob Menendez, and Alex Padilla, noted in a joint statement they are “deeply disappointed” by the decision of the Biden administration to uphold Title 42 partially.

These soft-hearted policies of the Biden administration are once again likely to pull illegal immigrants to the US southern border.

This is also a significant boost for smugglers who bring these children to the US border and leave them alone, knowing these kids will make their way to America legally.

Some policies tempted people to come to the United States illegally in great numbers. Thus, the US-Mexico border saw an unprecedented amount of encounters and abductions, which undermined legal immigration regimes.

Many of these illegal immigrants managed to reach mainland America, as the administration continued relying on its narrative to control the border using technology, instead of a fence.

This came at a time when the morale at the southern border is at an all-time low, as it is being complained about by several border agents
