Democrats Push Closer to Rig Next Elections

Kevin McCarthy, the House Minority Leader, lambasted Democrats, claiming they are moving forward to rig elections with their radical election reform agenda.

According to him, the Biden administration should prioritize issues that really serve the purpose of Americans.

Democrats should focus on things that really matter

Speaking to Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” McCarthy highlighted the voting rights bill is in the same Senate which tried to politicize the January 6 event, despite the fact everyone criticizes what happened that day.

In addition to that, the California Republican mentioned Democrats should focus on issues like border control, reducing crime in America, and giving parents their rights to have a say in their kids’ education.

However, he indicated Democrats are focusing on passing their voting bills by neglecting the important needs of America.

The congressman believes if Democrats are allowed to pass the voting bill, it will give them an unfair advantage in the elections.

While criticizing Democrats’ role in the January 6 investigations, McCarthy mentioned Nancy Pelosi is ignoring two very important questions in this regard.

Firstly, why was Congress not adequately protected to stop the riots in advance? Secondly, what steps have to be taken in order to avoid this sort of incident in the future?

Likewise, he asserted Pelosi is deliberately hiding the information that can be helpful in investigating Capitol Hill attacks.

This way, if Republicans come to power again, they will get subpoena power to bring people responsible for the attack to justice.

Democrats trying to rig elections by abolishing the filibuster

McCarthy stated Republicans stopped Democrats in the last Congress, so the election bill is stalled in the Senate.

This time, senatorial rules of the filibuster are stopping Democrats from passing this radical bill, due to the stalwartness of some leftist senators.

He was referring to Sens. Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema, who are reluctant to pass the filibuster reform.

Further scolding Democrats, McCarthy suggested the GOP can scrutinize Democrats on various fronts after winning the House back, including the persisting border crisis.

According to him, Republicans will get America back on track by making Democrats accountable.

Recently, Ted Cruz also promised to impeach Biden after winning the House in the 2022 midterm elections, saying Biden can be impeached on various grounds, notably the messy border.

Democrats are currently trying to abolish the filibuster and look for alternative ways to pass their election reform bill from the Senate, due to Republicans’ resistance against backing the bill.

For this, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer will hold a vote to abolish the measure by January 17 to pass two voting rights bills.

In order to do this, they need all 50 Democrat senators on board.

Thus, former Democrat Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton have personally called Manchin to vote for abolishing the filibuster. However, Manchin still seems reluctant to back any such proposal of changing Senate rules.
