Adam Laxalt, a Republican Senate candidate for Nevada in 2022, illuminated the hope for the GOP to win the Senate majority during next year’s midterm elections.
He is one of the few candidates who united the political wings of Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell, which would improve Laxalt’s chances of winning the senatorial race.
Adam Laxalt will dethrone Democrat senators to reclaim Nevada
Recently, Republicans faced a recruitment challenge for the 2022 Senate elections. They struggled to find the perfect candidates in Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, and Arizona, which alarmed the party before the midterm elections.
However, the changing political dynamics of Nevada are promising enough to deliver Republicans an easy run in the elections. Democrats won Nevada Senate seats in both 2016 and 2018, while Biden carried this state in the 2020 presidential election.
Thus, for Democrats, it was an easy go until recently, when the pandemic impacted the state poorly. With the implications of the pandemic came Biden’s dwindling popularity as well, which added fuel to the fire for Democrats.

Now, unlike in many states where Trump and McConnell’s wings are supporting different candidates for the top seats, Nevada will see a common candidate from both factions.
While McConnell also expressed his support verbally for Laxalt, Trump campaigned for Laxalt in 2018 when he was running for governor, and his adviser is about to do the same this time as well.
Laxalt lost the 2018 elections for lack of support among Republicans
One of the primary reasons for Laxalt’s defeat in 2018 was the opposition from his own ranks when then-incumbent Republican Governor Brian Sandoval did not endorse his candidacy.
However, over time, Laxalt bridged his gaps with the different factions, which put him in the driving seat for the 2022 elections. He helped Donald Trump in perpetuating his narrative of voter fraud after the 2020 election.
Laxalt is also in the process of filing a voter fraud lawsuit against the elections in early 2022.

Despite the fact the primary GOP donor, Don Ahem, asked the former president to back Sam Brown, an Army veteran in the Nevada Senate race, Trump is still supporting Laxalt.
In addition to this, the GOP Senate candidate is also gaining unprecedented donations and already grabbed nearly $9 million in funds.
This fact has already been acknowledged by Catherine Cortez Masto, the incumbent Democrat senator who urged voters to donate to her campaign to help her in getting reelected.
Adam Laxalt also noted Nevada is a state suffering the worst impacts, due to Joe Biden’s failures. These failures have contributed to joblessness, rising inflation, and a new wave of criminal activities in the state.
Laxalt also censured the incumbent Masto who, according to him, promoted the woke agenda in the state which stagnated the country’s progress.
