Communities run by Democrats continue to demonstrate their lack of a long-term plan to stop or even lessen the spread of COVID-19. These communities are resorting back to measures like lockdowns, even after this strategy has failed for months on end now.

Americans cannot remain locked down and restricted forever. Months ago, the World Health Organization came out and amended its prior support for shutdowns; nonetheless, the Democrats proceed with shutting down entire communities, citing this as a measure to halt coronavirus. Where’s the science in that?

According to Breitbart News, Los Angeles County is back on lockdown, amid surges in the infamous COVID-19.

Los Angeles County’s Three-Week Lockdown

Yesterday, the county of Los Angeles implemented yet another stay-at-home order set to last for 21 days, barring any potential extensions. The lockdown permits residents to carry out “essential trips” and allows for “essential workers” to proceed with their jobs.

On Friday, Los Angeles County also lamented an “alarming rise” in cases and hospitalizations of the virus; shortly thereafter, the county also explained that a three-week lockdown constitutes “safety measures.” Some of the safety measures include occupancy restrictions in certain businesses and a mandatory mask order.

Health officials in Los Angeles County also urged residents to stay at home and away from others.

What’s the Science Behind Shutdowns?

As time passes, the “science” behind shutdowns and stay-at-home orders looks shakier and more questionable; the same scenario applies to mask mandates as well.

Areas controlled by leftists have more than embraced lockdowns and mandatory mask edicts; yet, this hasn’t spared them from the surge in COVID-19 cases (and, in some situations, hospitalizations). In light of this, logic would argue that current mitigation strategies are not working.

Some Americans have stated that coronavirus, like the flu, is just something that the nation will have to learn to live with. This could be; however, living with COVID-19 does not mean shutting down people’s livelihoods, businesses, and communities for an on-and-off, indefinite time period.

The events of 2020 have shown everyone that this simply will not do. As time passes, more and more people are standing up against these restrictions and even challenging them in the Supreme Court.
