Even prior to the plethora of sexual harassment allegations against Cuomo, he was already in hot water. For some time, the Democrat governor of New York has faced reports that he allegedly concealed COVID-19 hospital deaths; Republicans and Democrats alike have referred to claims of this nature as concerning and are furthermore supportive of an offical probe.

Cuomo’s troubles just keep piling up, though. According to Breitbart News, the wave of sexual harassment allegations against the New York governor is prompting his staffers to refuse coming into work.

Growing Problems for Governor Cuomo

The New York governor facing all these sexual harassment claims is subsequently also facing calls to resign from his post. Amazingly, these calls are not just coming from right-wing Republicans, but left-wing Democrats like Chuck Schumer, Alexandria-Ocasio-Cortez, etc., have also openly called for Cuomo’s resignation.

According to the Democrat governor, he has no intentions of resigning from office. However, these sentiments apparently are not shared by his aides. Since the swarm of sexual harassment allegations and Governor Cuomo’s flagrant refusal to resign, the people who work for him have declined to show up to work.

Others are opting to do their jobs via telework, rather than actually going into the office.

Narrative Pushback from Governor Cuomo

As to be expected, the New York governor is working to do considerable damage control. He’s recieving very negative press, a potential probe into his handling of nursing homes over the past year, etc. On top of this, Cuomo’s own party turning against him doesn’t bode well.

Amid reports of the Democrat governor’s staffers declining to come into work, Cuomo’s working to control the narrative. Yesterday, a spokesperson for the New York governor claimed that members of Cuomo’s administration are focused on fighting the “pandemic,” assisting with vaccination efforts, etc.

Other reports indicate otherwise, however. On social media, the New York governor has continued sharing details about the state’s vaccination efforts and calling for New Yorkers to mask up.
