Democrat leaders continue their crusade of disparaging President Trump and undermining his work to fight coronavirus. This crusade has maintained since the moment that COVID-19 became an issue in the United States; rather than put aside politics for the betterment of the country, the left would rather throw cheap shots while Americans suffer.

Yesterday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared on CNN for an interview. During this time, the Speaker chose to denigrate Trump’s decision to issue a Chinese travel restriction earlier this year. While Fox News notes Pelosi’s claim that the travel ban lacked effectiveness, this take is not in keeping with the viewpoints of COVID-19 task force doctors.

Pelosi on Trump’s Travel Ban

During her time on-air, the House Speaker alleged that “tens of thousands of people” were able to come into America from China. Continuing, Pelosi professed that Trump’s China travel ban didn’t serve as a “great moment” to halt the spread of COVID-19.

What the Speaker didn’t mention, however, is that when Trump talked about the need to take measures against coronavirus in his State of the Union Address, Pelosi tore up her official copy of the remarks.

Sunday didn’t mark the Speaker’s first time of criticizing the president. Pelosi, earlier this month, alleged that President Trump “fiddled” and caused Americans to die as a result of his response to COVID-19. She also claimed that Trump’s so-called “denial” of coronavirus proved to be “deadly.”

Pelosi vs. Coronavirus Task Force Doctors

Throughout the entire ordeal of COVID-19, Democrats have emphasized the importance of listening to medical specialists. Despite this, Pelosi’s statements are in contrast with those of coronavirus task force doctors. Both Drs. Deborah Birx and Anthony Fauci have maintained that Trump’s travel restrictions against China helped to stop the spread.

Perhaps if Pelosi were less interested in hating Trump and more invested in aiding Americans, she’d realize this.
