Psaki Says She’s Having Trouble Keeping Up With Biden

On Monday, during the White House’s press briefing, press secretary Jen Psaki told the media that Biden is so healthy that she has difficulty keeping up with him at times.

During the press briefing on Monday, Psaki was asked by one reporter about the workout routine of the president. The press secretary was also asked if Biden still uses his Peloton stationary bike.

Psaki on Biden’s Workout Routine

Psaki answered, saying that she does not have much information to share with the press about Biden’s exercise regime. However, she emphasized that she struggles to keep up with the 78-year-old president when she is out and about with him.

Psaki also emphasized this point by saying that after having traveled with Biden for a fair amount of time, sometimes the President is “hard to keep up with.”

It can be remembered that last March, the president fell while climbing the steps of Air Force One. However, the White House was quick to assert that Biden was fine after the fall.

At that time, White House communications director Kate Bedingfield stated that she was aware that people saw Biden slip while ascending the stairs of AFI. However, she was happy to say that Biden is just “fine.” She added that the president did not even need any care from the medical team who travels with him.

Bedingfield added that the incident was a mere “misstep on the stairs.”

Later on, another White House spokesperson blamed the wind while Biden was climbing the stair.

The steps to the presidential jet were proven to be a difficult obstacle for plenty of American leaders. This includes former President Gerald Ford, who in 1975, almost fell head-first down the steps.

Reporters Pressed Jen Psaki on Whether a Doctor Saw Biden

Meanwhile, reporters pressed Psaki, asking whether a doctor saw the president after he fell. The reporter mentioned that Biden fell while ascending the stairs of the presidential jet on Friday. He then asked, “Is he doing OK?”

However, Psaki seems to dodge the question.

Psaki responded by saying that Biden is 100% fine. She then defended the fall by explaining that the steps ascending the AFI are “tricky sometimes.”

The reporter then made a follow-up question asking if Biden see a doctor after the fall. Psaki answered by saying that she is not aware of a doctor being required. However, she clarified that there is always a doctor who travels with the president. This just so happens to be the standard operating procedure for any current president of the United States.

The press secretary then noted that she is not aware whether Biden needs extensive medical attention. The fall, of course, caused many Americans to weigh in with their own viewpoints.
