Trump Faces Jews’ Backlash After Meeting Anti-Semitic People

Notable Jewish leaders took aim at Donald Trump after the former president invited anti-Semitic people to a dinner at his Florida residence.

Famous rapper Kayne West, also known as Ye, and white supremacist Nick Fuentes met with the former president in Florida, which urged Jewish leaders to speak against Trump.

Jewish Leaders Slams Trump

David Friedman, who served as a US ambassador to Israel during Trump’s presidency, told the former president he expected better things from him. Friedman also asserted people like Kayne West and Nick Fuentes are not acceptable for any social visit, let alone dinner.

Furthermore, Friedman asserted that he also slammed former President Barack Obama when he entertained anti-Semitic people like Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan.

In addition, Friedman claimed that anti-Semitic people should never be entertained by any American leader, irrespective of their political affiliations.

After Friedman’s comments, the White House also released a statement claiming that anti-Semitism, hate, and bigotry are not acceptable in the United States.

The deputy secretary of the White House, Andrew Bates, also noted that Holocaust denial is a dangerous thing that should be opposed at any cost.

Apart from that, the executive director of the Republican Jewish Coalition, Matt Brooks, also criticized Trump for inviting anti-Semitic men to the dinner.

Brooks claimed that he invites all politicians of the country to reject the ideology propagated by Kayne West and Nick Fuentes and not meet with either of them.

Trump Went into Damage Control Mode

Kayne West faced backlash after tweeting against Jews. In his tweet, West wrote that he would do “death con 3” on Jews, apparently referring to a military term, DEFCON.

The term is used by the US military to describe the extent of the threat posed to the United States by other nations. Defcon 1 is the highest threat to America, while Defcon 5 suggests a low-level threat.

Fuentes also received a ban from multiple websites after trying to deny the Holocaust. When asked about the number of deaths in the Holocaust, Fuentes replied, “funny joke,” apparently claiming that Holocaust never happened.

After seeing backlash from Jewish leaders, Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social, that he wanted to meet with West, but did not know who Fuentes was.

According to Trump, he met with West since the rapper wanted to discuss his business difficulties with him. However, Trump continued, Fuentes was one of the friends of Ye, who attended the event without being invited.

Furthermore, Trump stated he asked West not to run in the 2024 presidential election. West already hinted he would run for the White House in 2024, which would make him a competitor against Trump, who already announced his presidential campaign.

Similarly, Trump added that West did not say any anti-Semitic thing to him, so he had no reason not to meet the rapper.
