Getting the Republican Party back into power, notably congressional power, is a significant goal for the GOP at this time.
Right now, Democrats are running the show as they control the White House and Congress. This monopoly on power that Democrats have has only led to failed and wasteful bills, such as the American Rescue Plan, being passed into law. If the left has its way, many more other dangerous proposals — such as D.C. statehood, massive gun control, mass amnesty, etc. — will become laws.
Former President Trump plays a significant role in the Republican Party. In fact, many top Republican leaders are counting on the 45th president to help the GOP win upcoming midterm elections.
On Monday, Trump sent out a notice, urging his supporters not to send donations to Republicans in Name Only (RINOs), according to Breitbart News.
Trump on RINOs and Political Donations
Yesterday, the former president delivered a very clear message to the public. In this message, Trump declared that “no more money” ought to go towards RINOs. He then noted that RINOs only do damage to the Republican Party and the GOP voting base.
Former Pres. Trump: “No more money for RINOS. They do nothing but hurt the Republican Party and our great voting base—they will never lead us to Greatness. Shortly thereafter, Trump stated that his supporters should donate to his own Save America PAC. According to the 45th president, donations sent to this PAC will be used to better the nation and make America stronger than ever before.
The former president’s latest criticism of RINOs follows the remarks he made last month at the Conservative Political Action Conference. During Trump’s speech at the event, he professed that RINOs should no longer have a place within the Republican Party.
Reactions to Trump’s Message
On Monday, the message from the former president went semi-viral on social media. Many supporters of Trump are already donating to him and will likely continue to do so, especially after yesterday.
He didn’t start his own party, which is complicated to do and be competitive, but Trump is trying to set himself up as the place where money for Republicans should go as opposed to GOP committees pic.twitter.com/IPaiXTaIEy

Critics of the former president, however, didn’t hold back with their thoughts. Americans who are not in Trump’s fan club believe that he’s essentially looking to turn the Republican Party into the Trump Party. Some Democrats even suggested that the political left should start its own PAC to rival and counter the Save America PAC.
